After doing lots of research, and comparing, I'm Very happy I picked this machine. I live in an apartment, and I help take care of someone with Ulcerative Colitis, so we end up with some unfortunate stains. I needed a machine that would be able to get those stains out, and hopefully reach to the bottom of the carpet too. We were switching rooms around, and I actually bought a different carpet shampoo to help with any lingering odors -

- and on the first run through of the carpet I noticed a difference right away. The Clean Boost feature was invaluable. I only had to go over the stains twice, and there's no lingering odor, or any evidence it ever happened.
I even used both of the hand tool/upholstery attachments on a mattress cover, and there was an immediate difference. I love the two tank system, and it's not hard at All to change them. If you're using the Clean Boost as liberally as I did at first, you'll go through the water relatively fast. But I did a "clean" scrub of just hot water afterwards, and I was able to get a room of 11ft by 15ft with just one tank. It's the ideal machine for our apartment, and with a bare floor attachment I can get the hardwood floors too. It stores nicely next to our vacuum cleaner too, and it's not too heavy at all. best money I've invested!

Rust set up, but good when it's put together.
Putting this thing together was horrible! But once it was together, I do think it works better than my friend's Bissell which is more than twice as much as this one.It is super heavy so I wouldn't recommend it for stairs or lugging up to a second-floor. It is also Extremely Loud. If you are using it in a bedroom, it's best to open the windows because it actually hurts my ears. (Crazy loud!)I provided pictures of dirt from a room that was not very dirty.... I thought. What I noticed is that this Hoover picks up more dirt out of the carpets than the other brand I used.Once I figured out how to put the thing together, I am happy about it. I would have returned it if it had cost a lot more. Just because I feel like the plastic is a bit cheap, while other brands use higher quality Plastics. Still, it is Affordable and the suction is strong.Tips: I'm providing pictures for what to do with the hose, which I suggest taking off unless unless you are using it to clean the upholstery. The hose isn't used for the carpets at all. You can just set that aside until you need to plug it in. Otherwise it keeps flopping off the back. That whole thing is pretty rinky-dink and the instructions on how to attach the stuff isn't very clear either.Note: when you vacuum, the tank holding the solution will be at an angle. I thought that there was something wrong with it, I figured out that's just how it's supposed to work. Super weird, but the vacuum does do a good job once you put it together.
